Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by SW Powdercoat & Cerakote. By commissioning work with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

2. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon collection of goods unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • For customers receiving parts by post, an invoice will be issued via email and payment must be made in full on the same day the invoice is received.
  • Late payments may be subject to interest charged at 8% plus the Bank of England base rate, calculated on a daily basis, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act.
  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer and cash.

3. Workmanship and Claims

We take pride in delivering high-quality Powdercoat and Cerakote finishes. Claims will only be considered under the following conditions:

  • Damage or defects must be reported within 48 hours of collection or delivery.
  • Evidence required: Clear photographs and a written description of the issue must be provided.
  • Exclusions: We are not responsible for damage caused by improper handling, incorrect installation, misuse, or general wear and tear.
  • Resolution: If a claim is deemed valid, we reserve the right to repair, recoat, or offer a partial refund at our discretion.

4. Material Limitations

  • Powdercoat: Suitable for metal surfaces only. We cannot guarantee adhesion on surfaces not prepared by us or materials not specified as suitable for powder coating.
  • Cerakote: Designed for high-performance protection. Minor colour variation may occur due to material differences and is not considered a defect.
  • Heat Resistance: Cerakote coatings are heat-resistant within their specified limits; however, excessive or extreme heat exposure may affect colour and long-term durability.

5. Turnaround Time

  • Estimated turnaround times will be confirmed at the time of booking.
  • Delays caused by external factors such as supply chain issues, equipment failure, or weather conditions are beyond our control and do not affect payment terms.

6. Cancellations

  • Cancellations made prior to work commencing may be accepted without charge.
  • Once work has begun, we reserve the right to charge for materials and labour incurred up to the point of cancellation.

7. Warranty

  • We provide a 12-month warranty against flaking, peeling, and significant coating defects, provided that SW Powdercoat & Cerakote has completed the full process from preparation through to coating, and the item has been properly cared for.
  • This warranty does not cover impact damage, chemical exposure, corrosion caused by environmental conditions, or misuse.

8. Amendments

SW Powdercoat & Cerakote reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most up-to-date version will be provided upon request.
